Job Title

Seasonal Travel RN – Neuro ICU (Nights)

Location

Kansas City, MO | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend (or 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed Neuro ICU at a 2:1 patient ratio, managing complex neurological and critical care cases
• Administer IV vasoactive medications and perform hemodynamic monitoring
• Manage ventilated patients and assist with procedures including chest tube management, ventriculostomy, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, ECMO, and arterial/central line placement
• Identify and manage cardiac rhythms; provide care for post-operative surgical and stroke patients
• Float as needed to like units including Neuro ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care, Burn Unit, and ED Inpatient Overflow
• Document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Missouri or compact state eligibility
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Advanced proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification (preferred but not required)
• Experience with trauma patient management
• Familiarity with CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, and ECMO
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Neuro or Surgical ICU setting
