Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult Med Surg patients, with an orthopedic focus, on a 32-bed unit
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IVs and fluids, and perform routine therapies per orders
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; document findings accurately in the medical record; communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case management, and other care providers to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Ensure patient safety and comfort through Pain management, fall prevention, infection control, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare patients and families for discharge, including education and coordination of services as needed

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience
- Required AHA BLS and NIH Certification; ACLS preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730) on a 12x3 schedule; schedule may vary
- Willingness to work in an orthopedic-focused Med Surg unit with private patient rooms
- Strong clinical assessment skills, communication, and teamwork
