Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Burlingame, California. The role involves providing specialized obstetric care in a Labor and Delivery Department, supporting high-risk deliveries, and assisting with various clinical procedures in a facility with a daily census of approximately 10 patients. Candidates are required to bring their California RN license on the first day. This position offers daytime hours with a schedule of 3 x 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, every other weekend, with no call required.

• Required Qualifications: California RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification, NRP Certification, minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred, experience with Epic EMR system, trauma level experience levels 1, 2, and 3, teaching hospital experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience.
• Additional Requirements: Must upload Nursys verification of CA RN license within the last 2 weeks, applicable certifications with expiration dates, and two references obtained within the last year.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP.
• Travel Experience: Not required.
• Additional Job Responsibilities: Support with high-risk deliveries, sterile speculum exams, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, neonatal assessments, and use of external/internal fetal monitoring and infusion pumps.
• Facility & Patient Care: Support of obstetrical patients including mother-baby couplets, breastfeeding support, discharge teaching, and neonatal care procedures.
• Patient Ratios: Not specified for days.
• Float Requirement: Not specified.
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend.
• Community Support: Respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams available.
• Onboarding & Compliance: Labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing; 7-year work history verification required; all compliance documents due 10 days prior to start.
• RTO & Holiday Policies: RTO requested for 08/28/202608/31/2026; holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, beginning at 7:00 PM the night before and ending at 7:00 AM the day after.
