Job Title: Land Agent Location: Phoenix, AZ Employment: Contract (8 months) Industry: Utilities / Energy Infrastructure. Compensation: $ 35.00/hr Schedule: 40 hours /week About the Opportunity:

• Land Agent I responsible for acquiring and supporting the management of land rights needed for utility construction, operation, maintenance, and protection of company facilities.
• Supports right-of-way, easement, permitting, and land acquisition activities for utility infrastructure projects.
• Works with property owners, agencies, and internal stakeholders to research, negotiate, and document land rights.

• Negotiate and acquire easements, permits, subordinations, releases, waivers, and abandonments required for utility projects.
• Research property ownership, title information, and public records to determine required land rights.
• Analyze engineering requirements and prepare supporting legal documents and applications.
• Mitigate routine right-of-way encroachments and assist with protecting company facilities.
• Support litigation research, land rights documentation, relocation projects, and internal business partners on land-related matters.
• Utilize mapping and GIS tools to support land acquisition and right-of-way activities.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+years of experience in legal property descriptions, real estate law, and utility engineering/specifications.

What Sets You Apart:

• Associate's Degree
• Demonstrated oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mathematics skills including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Basic proficiency in a Windows computer environment.
• Utility right-of-way (ROW) experience.
• Utility real estate experience.
• Experience conducting title research and interpreting legal descriptions.
• Experience using Google Earth and ESRI/GIS products.
• Arizona Real Estate License preferred but not needed.
