School Nurse (Per Diem)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare Services, LLC of Nassau County is seeking compassionate, caring, and dedicated School Nurses to serve the staffing needs of our schools. ATC Nassau County has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a School Nurses (RN & LPN) in Nassau County, NY.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RN or LPN looking to make a difference in the lives of children while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Position Details:

Location: Hempstead, Woodmere and Hewlett NY
Pay Rate: $45.00- 50.00/hr
Schedule: Per Diem
Shift Hours:8AM- 4PM

Responsibilities:

Professional, medical treatment of students
Early detection of physical problems and health evaluations
Disease prevention
Promoting programs on health-education and immunization
Maintaining clinical records
Coordinating vision, hearing, and orthopedic screening and health assessments
Providing emergency aid to students and school staff
Assisting teachers in instructing students in health and nutrition education
Aiding in student transport

Qualifications:

Active RN or LPN license in the state of New York.
BLS certification required (from an in-person BLS course in adherence to AHA and ARC standards).
Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or public health setting preferred but not required.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
