Facilities Maintenance Tech
The Facilities Maintenance Tech will preserve the condition and functionality of Defined Fitness locations. Duties will include conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory and developing preventative maintenance procedures. The ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems and basic tools and appliances. You must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills along with the following qualities:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Monitors operation and use of equipment and systems and inspect buildings to identify and repair potential faulty equipment units or damaged structures
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment/systems to ensure everything is up to standard and implement preventative maintenance procedures
- Manage heating, plumbing and electrical systems to guarantee functionality
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, etc.
- Responsible for daily operations of the Maintenance Department including maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies
- Oversee repair/replacement of equipment and systems as needed to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company
- Communicates regularly with club leadership team, both individually and as a team, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues
- Work alongside club management regarding the ordering of all equipment parts, sanitary supplies, maintenance supplies, and other related items using the company's purchase order system
- Collaborate with District Manager of Operations & Facilities to initiate maintenance and safety programs for a variety of facility equipment
- Lead, maintain and repair machinery in the facility through preventative maintenance
- Assist in maintaining club cleanliness by inspecting locker rooms, wet areas, and amenities at the club to ensure they are serviced and cleaned by the Detail Team.
- Maintain compliance and knowledge of changes with regulatory agencies, including but not limited to OSHA regulations and other emergency procedures
- Lead/manage all aspects of buildings, exterior grounds, equipment, inventory, and overall state of the facility
- Oversee and process club deliveries such as Shamrock orders or new equipment deliveries.
- Plan and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates and appropriate timelines
- Timely completion of weekly/daily/monthly reports for cardio, free-weights, selectorized equipment, etc. (PM Checklist)
- Perform general maintenance repairs, interior and exterior, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general carpentry, painting, drywall repair, locks, and preventative maintenance
- Maintain pool, spa, wet & dry sauna and complete logs for pools/hot tubs to ensure chemicals and pH levels are in the appropriate range
- Perform various duties such as carpentry repair, painting large areas, replacement of overhead lighting fixtures and inspections for heating/air conditioning, sprinkler systems, and fire protection devices to ensure proper functioning
- Utilize the company's internal ticketing system to reflect resolved for maintenance repair requests and other work orders
- Attend mandatory company meetings and uphold expectations for punctuality
- Have a comprehensive understanding of sites and their contacts with ability to properly create and execute a site plan.
- Maintain appropriate component and accessory inventory levels to remain operational.
- Meet with authorities during incident responses and follow protocol to communicate back to our clients

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar role
- Certification in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field preferred
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems with understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with effective problem-solving and organizational skills
- Must hold a valid NM driver's license (acceptable record) and means of transportation (registered and insured)
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products such as ABC and GymSales
- Available and physically capable of working possible overtime hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Ability to coordinate, travel and handle multiple projects between two (2) locations timely and effectively
- Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read, and write
