Job Summary and Responsibilities Holidays and call required As our Surgery Nurse at SJHMC, you will work in our twelve-room OR suite which maintains a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, enabling close relationships with patients and their families during difficult times. We also feature a 44-bay multi-level PACU with staff dedicated to trauma and other emergency cases. Our PACU features a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. Throughout the unit we are committed to using the latest technology, affording staff the opportunity to constantly learn and enhance their skills. As a Level I Trauma Center, we are operational 24/7. Responsibilities Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR Care for patients before, during, and after procedures Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days.
