Physical Therapist Assistant Home Health - Alexandria, VA

Job Summary:

PathWell Health, a trusted and locally-owned home health care provider, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Alexandria, VA. As a PTA, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide exceptional care to patients in their homes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide therapeutic exercises as planned, delegated, and supervised by a Physical Therapist
• Effectively communicate with patients' care teams and follow instruction given by assigned Physical Therapist
• Perform ongoing therapy services, including but not limited to: application of heat and cold, massage, gait training, assistance and training in cardiopulmonary exercise, mobilization, assistance and training with ambulation, range of motion exercises, patient transfer, strengthening techniques, prosthetic training, and adaptive equipment
• Accurately document care and patients' progress in a timely manner
• Attend meetings, including regular team meetings, in-services, and ad-hoc informational or educational meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program, accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent program
• Current and valid Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license (required)
• Recent work experience in home health (preferred)
• Driver's License
• Car Insurance and Car Registration
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive in all types of weather conditions
• Ability and willingness to follow agency policies and procedures and work as a team member
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
• Desire for further education to keep up with the ever-changing medical advances

Salary:

$70,000 - $90,000 ANNUALLY
