Job Overview Position: Pediatric Dietitian (Peds Dietitian) – Acute Care Inpatient Location: Morrison Healthcare, Slidell Memorial Hospital East, Slidell, LA, US Setting: Acute care inpatient, including pediatric and NICU, with potential outpatient coverage. Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with weekend/holiday rotation. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individual care plans to support recovery and improve health outcomes. Provide medical nutrition therapy and educational guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to patients, families, staff, and the community. Apply evidence-based practice and the latest research aligned with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols. Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence. Collaborate with food service management to achieve patient satisfaction and service goals. Mentor and support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training, as applicable. Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with a current license or willingness to obtain a license in the state of practice. Experience in pediatrics or neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training encouraged. Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred.
