Local Contract RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - $65 per hour

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 35 hours per week Shift: 7 hours Employment Type: Local Contract Duties: Job Summary: Monitors patients for and provides education on food/drug interactions. Records food and drug interactions in the education section. Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modification. Job Responsibilities: Screens and assesses patients in an accurate and timely manner based on levels of care; determines patients' nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care. Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain history of food habits and preferences. Interprets pertinent laboratory, physical and social data in the medical record, as it applies to nutrition care. Provides nutrition education and records patient's diet and diet instructions and the patient's understanding of the diet in the education section. Modifies patient menus as needed. Skills: Required Skills & Experience: Minimal one (1) year of experience. Preferred Skills & Experience: Two (2) years of experience. Schedule Notes: In-patient experience. At least 2 years of experience required, 3 years or more years of experience is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree required, graduate from accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition. Registration by the Commissions on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian. Additional credentials such as Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)/diabetes educator OR Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC)/critical illness is highly desired. 8:30am-4:30pm, 35 hours / week, 1 hour break.
