Software Engineer

The group owns how efficiently customer workloads translate onto the hardware, and they're bringing in a Compiler Software Engineer to work on optimisation quality across the toolchain. You'll sit inside the core compiler group, working between backend code generation and the framework layer, with scope to contribute upstream alongside production work. What you'll work on: Finding where the toolchain leaves performance on the table, using benchmarking and code analysis Investigating new approaches to optimisation that take advantage of newer processor capabilities Building compiler features and optimisations that serve modern machine learning workloads What we're looking for: Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline Early-career experience with compilers or developer tooling, whether from industry or research Familiarity with a production compiler framework such as LLVM or GCC a strong plus Upstream contributions to an open source compiler project welcome Full details on the company will be shared once you're through to the next stage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
