The Food Service Worker is responsible for the preparation, serving, and cleanup of food and beverage products and services in both a catered and concessionary environment. Food service staff must be personable, professional, and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business needs.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $13.00 to $16.00 and is tip eligible. Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until September 4, 2026.

Formerly the Casper Events Center, the venue was renamed to the Ford Wyoming Center in January 2021. The Center is a 28,000 square foot multi-purpose facility, built high on a hill overlooking the city of Casper, Casper Mountain, and the scenic Platte River Valley. Funded entirely by the city's portion of an optional 1% sales tax, the venue opened on April 17, 1982. The arena features a horseshoe-shaped seating bowl with 8,000 seats.

The Ford Wyoming Center hosts a variety of different events each year, including concerts, sporting events, family shows, trade shows, competitions, religious services, bull riding competitions, commencement ceremonies, lectures, and political rallies, among other corporate and community events. The arena is host to the Wyoming High School Basketball, Volleyball, and Wrestling Tournaments; the Wyoming High School Art Symposium; the Wyoming High School Marching Band Competition; and the Wyoming High School Spirit and Cheer Competition. The venue has been the home of the College National Finals Rodeo each June since 2001.

The Ford Wyoming Center is owned by the City of Casper, Wyoming, and is proudly managed by Oak View Group.

Responsibilities

• Receives and serves concession food and kitchen orders.
• Receives and verifies payments, operates a cash register, and processes and maintains related records to reconcile and follow standards relating to accounts receivable tasks.
• During catered events, serves prepared meals, maintaining proper portion control; ensures that food is properly displayed and waits tables.
• Carries, stocks, and transports concession and food service inventory, equipment, and supplies.
• Assists kitchen staff with food preparation, setting up banquets/buffets, and concession stands.
• Stores food in appropriate containers at proper temperatures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
• Provides general customer service and communicates with the public regarding fees, policies, rules, and general information about the facility or event.
• Represents the City of Casper by responding to the public, citizens, its employees, and others in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner while continuously maintaining a positive customer service demeanor.
• Follows all safety procedures. Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to supervisor.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Qualifications

• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
• TIPS or Alcohol Server Training is preferred.
