Truck Mover/UnloaderAs a Truck Mover/Unloader you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks containing bulk liquid and solid hazardous materials for processing or transportation.Essential Functions & Requirements:Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practicesLoads and unloads trucks containing bulk liquid and solid hazardous materials for processing or transportationCompletes the wash out of tankers and other bulk transportation containers to the standard of RCRA emptyMoves large hoses to connect tankers for unloading and to connect water hoses/power washers for clean upSamples incoming and outgoing loads as neededUtilizes knowledge of plant tanks, piping and pump systems and their capabilities; utilizes basic chemistry knowledge to understand with hazards are created by the mixture of incompatible materialsAcquires knowledge of the Arcwood product codes and Department of Transportation (DOT) hazard classesMaintains records, verifies paperwork, and logs informationMaintains general plant and specific work area cleanliness and safetyMonitors plant tank farm sumps and keeps them dry at all timesMaintains the ability to manage basic spills and assists in the clean-up of larger issuesMoves tankers and trailers with fifth wheel and tractor setup, as well as other large trucks on to the unloading stationsPerforms inspections of yard dogs as neededUtilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed including boots, gloves, suits, eye/ear protection and a respiratorTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizationEducationEducation: High-school diploma or equivalent (required)ExperienceExperience:Previous truck driving experience, including a CDL (preferred)Previous experience operating a forklift (preferred)Benefits, Compensation & Workforce DiversityArcwood offers competitive pay and bonus incentives.
