Information Technology Specialist

JTG is currently seeking Information Technology Specialists.

Location: Reston, VA

Status: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

Ensure that personnel have appropriate network connectivity, computer hardware, computer software, and other IT requirements needed to accomplish tasks and deliverables.
Install, test, and maintain hardware and software.
Perform all system upgrades and configure all communication systems as required.
Provide the IT technical systems and continuous operations and maintenance support required to ensure defined percent availability of IT systems during operating hours (typically uptime requirements exceed 99%, however, unique environments may require alternate percentages for system availability).

Basic Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship
Two (2) or more years of experience working as an IT help desk or similar role directly diagnosing, resolving, escalating, and effectively communicating user issues
Experience managing computer software and licenses, hardware and physical data centers, data communications equipment and protocols, and security compliance
Knowledge of Active Directory tools
Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Service workspace, EC2, S3 and VPC
Experience working with cloud-based infrastructures
Knowledgeable of issues common in teleworking and how to resolve them quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in IT either directly with U.S. Government agencies or as a contractor

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (at minimum)

This position reports to the Program Manager.
