Information Technology Specialist

JTG is currently seeking Information Technology Specialists.

Location: Reston, VA

Status: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that personnel have appropriate network connectivity, computer hardware, computer software, and other IT requirements needed to accomplish tasks and deliverables.
• Install, test, and maintain hardware and software.
• Perform all system upgrades and configure all communication systems as required.
• Provide the IT technical systems and continuous operations and maintenance support required to ensure defined percent availability of IT systems during operating hours (typically uptime requirements exceed 99%, however, unique environments may require alternate percentages for system availability).

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Two (2) or more years of experience working as an IT help desk or similar role directly diagnosing, resolving, escalating, and effectively communicating user issues
• Experience managing computer software and licenses, hardware and physical data centers, data communications equipment and protocols, and security compliance
• Knowledge of Active Directory tools
• Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Service workspace, EC2, S3 and VPC
• Experience working with cloud-based infrastructures
• Knowledgeable of issues common in teleworking and how to resolve them quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in IT either directly with U.S. Government agencies or as a contractor

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (at minimum)
