Formulation Technician

Formulation TechnicianThis is an excellent opportunity to gain / apply experience in the life sciences industry, formulating reagents and mixtures for medical device applications.ResponsibilitiesMaintain the production area in a clean and orderly manner consistent with GMP standards.Handle biological materials and hazardous materials safely.Perform tank cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance procedures.Prepare glassware, filters, and other production materials needed for manufacturing runs.Follow production schedules for manufacturing processes.Understand and adhere to quality procedures.Operate equipment such as centrifuges, filtration systems, pH meters, balances, and mixers.Utilize SAP or other enterprise management software as needed.RequirementsAS or BS degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences, or high school diploma with 3-4 years of relevant experience.Formulations experience with liquid or solid formulations.Ability to weigh chemicals and raw materials accurately.Perform conversion calculations (mg/ml to kg/l).Experience measuring aqueous solutions.Prior batch-making experience in food, pharma, or chemical industries desiredKnowledge of formulation sheets, desiredAbility to follow production schedules and quality procedures.Experience operating centrifuges, filtration equipment, pH meters, balances, and mixers.Preferred experience with SAP or similar enterprise software a plus.
