General Superintendent

[p]The General Field Superintendent provides overall leadership, coordination, and oversight of field operations across multiple construction projects. This individual is responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality standards. The General Field Superintendent serves as a mentor and resource to Project Superintendents while coordinating manpower, equipment, and operational strategies across multiple job sites.[/p] Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for multiple active construction projects. Supervise and mentor Field Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field personnel. Coordinate labor, equipment, and resources among projects to maximize productivity. Monitor project schedules and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular site visits to review progress, quality, and safety performance. Collaborate with Project Managers, Executives, and Operations teams to resolve project challenges. Assist in workforce planning, hiring, and development of field personnel. Review project productivity, manpower reports, and cost performance. Lead problem-solving efforts related to schedule delays, staffing shortages, and field conflicts. Maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and design teams. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications 10+ years of commercial, concrete, industrial, or civil construction experience. 5+ years in a Superintendent leadership role. Proven experience overseeing multiple projects and field teams simultaneously. Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety regulations, and quality control. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
