Security Officer

This position will require you to work at different locations in San Jose, Sunnyvale, Fremont, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Hayward. On Call. Must be available for holidays and weekends. This is all based on your availability sheet.

Requirements:

• Get called in one week, one day, one hour before shift.
• Observe and report activities and incidents at the client site
• Securing events, coverage, public and private sites, and parties.
• Mobile Patrol (not required)
• Carry out instructions as documented in site Post Orders
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment
• Patrols assigned site on foot; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
• Will make 911 and emergency calls
• Have to deal with homeless individuals
• Responds to all alarm and emergency incidents
• Prepares logs and reports as required
• Utilizing TrackTik scans throughout the site
• Other duties as assigned
• Failure to pick-up shifts (declining three or more shifts in a 30-day period), agreed upon the signed employee availability form, can result in removal as a flex, rate change, and/or termination from the company. Must be available for weekends and nights

Environment: Indoor and Outdoor; Construction locations

Qualifications specific to this client site include, but are not limited to:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must have a current BSIS Security Guard Card License
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Some sites require no visible tattoos or piercings
• Ability to patrol outdoors in different weather conditions
• Excellent report-writing skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional attitude
• Ability to pass an extensive background screening process by Creative Security and the client
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
