Data Engineer

Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Support Department supporting Data Platform and Application Support teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to technical challenges, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Engineer Location: Montvale, NJ - Hybrid What's the Job? Support and troubleshoot complex data pipelines and applications to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability. Lead technical initiatives related to Azure data engineering, including working with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, and Databricks. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to improve performance and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and enhance data processes. Provide technical coaching and incident ownership to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement. What's Needed? Minimum of 5+ years of experience in application support, technical leadership, or data-platform troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Azure data engineering and Python programming. Working knowledge of Databricks, PySpark, notebooks, and data transformations. Advanced T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, indexing, and query optimization.
