Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 9 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Speech Therapist II Job Summary The Speech Therapist assesses patients for speech-related therapy needs, establishes treatment goals, and develops and implements appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs. This role involves reviewing medical history, applying screening tests, and meeting with patients to determine clinical needs, impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities. Required Qualifications Eighteen (18) months of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience and knowledge base in a wide range of diagnoses, including general medicine, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, gastroenterology, and otolaryngology. Required Certification & Licensure Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of California. Current BLS Certification. Additional Information Assists with orienting new staff and acts as a clinical instructor for interns. Conducts literature reviews and staff consultations as needed.
