Patient Service Specialist - Medical Front Office

Position Overview Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Fort Worth (Lake Worth), TX. Position: Patient Service Specialist (PSS), Part Time. Hours: Monday–Thursday 3 p.m.–7 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m.–1 p.m. Must be flexible with hours subject to change. Compensation: $18–$25 per hour, based on experience and internal equity. Entry-level position. Key Responsibilities Greets patients, answers phones, and supports front office operations. Performs patient intake and data entry, including referral processing. Conducts insurance verification and pre‑authorization, reviews benefits with patients, and collects copays. Schedules patient appointments and coordinates with therapists and therapy assistants. Maintains daily cash balancing and records weekly banking deposits. Prepares billing reports and closing reports, plus other tasks as needed. Travels to other locations as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently and with a team. Preferred: customer service experience, knowledge of insurance verification, healthcare/medical/dental office administration experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
