Physical Therapist

Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month

Travel Gross Weekly: $2,300 – $2,400/week (Based on Experience)
Local Pay: $48 – $52/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive physical therapy services in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and preferably experience working in an acute care environment.

Preferred Experience

• Acute care experience preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active New York State Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience required.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance.
• Ability to work one weekend per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop and implement appropriate treatment programs in accordance with established procedures.
• Formulate individualized treatment goals in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, treatment notes, and discharge records.
• Attend designated clinics, patient rounds, conferences, and other professional meetings.
• Provide relevant patient information to members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Participate in educational programs for staff members, students, volunteers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with training and orientation of new staff members.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for senior-level Physical Therapy students.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new programs and services.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
