Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary Florida Gulf Coast University is a comprehensive universitydedicated to quality education, research, and service. Assignments will include teaching, at both undergraduate and/orgraduate levels, as applicable. Teaching assignments may be on the main campus or at off-campus sites within our region. Additionalduties may be assigned by supervisor. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Prepares syllabi, instruction materials, coordinates lectures,tests, and evaluates. Maintains highest possible standards of classroominstruction. Keeps abreast of new information and developments in field ofinstruction. Actively serves on university committees. Actively participates in institutional meetings. Maintains professional skills through regular professionaldevelopment, and other activities appropriate to higher educationfaculty. Assists with the development of curriculum. Other Duties Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master of Science Entrepreneurship, Master of BusinessAdministration, or a specialized related Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution. The degree should includeeighteen graduate credit hours within Entrepreneurship or relatedfields. The applicant should also have significant and current orrecent professional experience in Entrepreneurship or BusinessExperience that would be relevant to topics in Entrepreneurshipcourse(s) taught. Preferred Qualifications Involved in a Startup Business or working with startupbusinesses. Possess the knowledge of general written standards andprocedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, andfollow procedural and policy manual related to the job tasks. Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming andsupportive environment. Present a professional image in word, action and attire. Apply effective techniques to create working relationships withothers to achieve common goals; successfully communicates andcollaborates with others to achieve goals. Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations andprocesses critically to make recommendations for improvement.
