You will establish and maintain relationships with vendors; oversee the purchasing and inventory of all incoming materials; bolster efficiency across the Operations department; and develop and implement Hellbender's supply chain strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and production planning; possess exceptional negotiating skills; and a proven ability to navigate the unique challenges of the electronics manufacturing industry.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement the supply chain strategy across the organizationManage the relationship with suppliers: coordinate to confirm delivery schedules, negotiate contracts and pricing, and secure backup suppliers as needed - travel to new and existing customers is requiredIdentify and monitor KPIs across the supply chain process to record and improve overall departmental effectivenessManage lead times and inventory levels to ensure a steady flow of parts, components and materials for productionCollaborate with other departments to identify and capitalize on strategic opportunitiesOwn and quickly resolve issues across the supply chain processDevelop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chainQualifications, Skill, and Attributes:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry3+ years of experience in an electromechanical product manufacturing environment utilizing high volume production processes such as SMT and PCB assembly highly preferredFluent in computer applications and relevant software including MS Office, ERP etc.Experience as both a project leader and individual contributor - ability to influence others while independently owning many aspects of a projectExpert in negotiation tactics with previous experience negotiating contracts with vendorsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)5% Safe Harbor Contribution to 401k by Hellbender100% of Health, Dental, and Vision insurance premiums for employees and their families paid by Hellbender7.5 weeks total Paid time offProfit Sharing (through 401k)Hybrid work environment & flexible work scheduleWork Location: UPARC Pittsburgh, PATravel: Travel to and from vendors is requiredOpportunity for advancement:Hellbender is a growing business and follows a policy that prioritizes internal promotions.
