About the Role As a Psychometrist at Quincy Medical Group, you will play an essential role in supporting pediatric psychological evaluations by administering standardized cognitive, academic, behavioral, and neuropsychological assessments. Working under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, you will gather objective data that helps diagnose developmental, behavioral, learning, and mental health conditions while contributing to individualized treatment planning. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of all ages and abilities and has the ability to create a comfortable, engaging environment that encourages participation. Success in this role requires patience, flexibility, strong observational skills, and the ability to build trust with both patients and their families. Extensive training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop the specialized skills needed to succeed. Schedule & Work Environment Full-time position, Monday-Friday, daytime hours. Schedule may vary based on patient appointments and departmental needs. Outpatient behavioral health environment specializing in pediatric psychological assessment. Collaborative, multidisciplinary team with comprehensive onboarding, training, and ongoing professional support. Primary Responsibilities Administer standardized cognitive, neuropsychological, academic, and behavioral assessments in accordance with established testing protocols. Escort patients to testing areas, establish rapport, explain testing procedures, and create a positive, engaging experience for children and families. Observe and document patient behaviors, effort, attention, fatigue, and other clinically relevant observations throughout testing. Accurately score assessments, convert results using standardized norms, and prepare documentation for psychologist review. Conduct structured clinical interviews with parents and caregivers while gathering relevant developmental, behavioral, educational, and medical history. Answer parent and caregiver questions while providing compassionate, professional support throughout the evaluation process. Document testing results, behavioral observations, and clinical information accurately within the electronic medical record. Assist with scheduling, billing, coding, referral coordination, and other administrative workflows related to psychological testing services. Maintain testing materials, assessment tools, and documentation to ensure readiness and organization. Support mental health screenings, triage activities, and follow-up coordination as directed. Collaborate closely with psychologists and interdisciplinary team members to support high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. Perform other duties as assigned to support pediatric behavioral health services. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Behavioral Health, Sociology, Neuroscience, Human Development, or a related behavioral science required. Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a healthcare, educational, counseling, behavioral health, or related setting preferred. Strong interest in pediatric psychology, neuropsychology, or psychological assessment preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills. Ability to build rapport with children of varying ages, developmental levels, cognitive abilities, and behavioral needs. Strong observational skills with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to standardized testing procedures. Comfort interviewing parents and caregivers while gathering sensitive clinical information. Ability to remain patient, flexible, and composed in a variety of clinical situations. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience using electronic medical records preferred. The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.92 - $25.38 per hour with actual pay determined by experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
