Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate general operating room cases across a variety of surgical specialties
• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center environment
• Participate in on-call rotation, averaging 5–8 calls per month including weekend call
• Adhere to holiday call requirements as determined by departmental needs
• Comply with all facility protocols including radiation safety requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience with demonstrated ability to circulate general OR cases
• Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state RN license must be in hand at contract start
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• Scrub experience is not required; circulating experience is the primary focus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience circulating in specialized general OR cases such as Plastics, Colorectal, Urology, Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Pancreatic/Biliary, or Surgical Oncology
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Candidates with 5 or more years of experience may be considered for first-time travel assignments
