Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerLeading tier I automotive supplier is seeking a Quality Engineer to work in one of their production areas. As the Quality Engineer, you will report to a Quality Manager and will work closely with process engineers and production. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks in a specific area of the plant:Maintaining quality assurance standards in a specific area of the plantCoordinating with production and engineering to maintain and improve quality standardsGathering documentation and information to support the PPAP processLeading root cause analysis in the assigned area and establishing corrective actionsCompleting internal quality auditsCreating and updating control plans and FMEA documentationMonitoring new launch processes and event trialsDeveloping, coaching and mentoring quality staffAdministering quality trainingCommunicating with customers on any quality concerns or issuesPresenting quality results and metrics on a regular basis to the management teamOther duties as delegated by managementThis is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 50% of their day, conducting quality line support and overseeing projects. You will be on the manufacturing floor daily communicating with the production staff and working with your team to continuously improve quality initiatives. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, communicating with all levels of the company to improve quality standards and being creative in the root cause analysis and corrective action process.
