Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Sonographer


Location: Eastern Oregon, near Seneca

A community-based healthcare organization in Eastern Oregon is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join its imaging team. This is a full-time opportunity for a sonographer who enjoys a varied diagnostic caseload and working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a smaller community setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Provide general abdominal, OB/GYN, small-parts, venous, and carotid Doppler imaging
• Prepare and appropriately position patients for examinations
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and required measurements
• Utilize 2-D, 3-D, M-mode, Doppler, and color-flow techniques as appropriate
• Review clinical history and correlate findings with the requested examination
• Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy and obtain additional images when clinically appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely procedural documentation
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, confidentiality, and quality standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and other members of the clinical team
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of imaging services as needed

The role includes a broad ultrasound mix covering abdominal, OB/GYN, small-parts, venous, and carotid Doppler examinations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree from an approved program
• Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging license by start date
• ARDMS certification or equivalent in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound techniques, anatomy, patient positioning, and safety
• Ability to work independently and use sound clinical judgment

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year of experience with abdominal and OB/GYN ultrasound
• Breast imaging experience is a plus

Practice Environment


This position offers a broad diagnostic imaging scope and the opportunity to work directly with patients throughout the imaging process, from preparation and examination through completion and provider interpretation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, adapting technique when necessary, and providing high-quality imaging in a collaborative healthcare environment.
