Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Midwest Behavioral Health Center
Midwest Behavioral Health Center is seeking a skilled, collaborative, and patient-centered Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. At MBHC, behavioral support is not separate from treatment—it is an important part of helping children and adolescents feel safe, build skills, participate meaningfully in care, and make progress toward greater stability and independence. The BCBA will work with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and other complex clinical presentations across our treatment programs. You’ll assess behavior, develop individualized interventions, analyze outcomes, guide treatment teams, and help staff understand not simply what a patient is doing, but what that behavior may be communicating and how we can respond more effectively. We’re looking for someone who combines strong behavioral science with compassion, clinical judgment, and an ability to collaborate across disciplines. What You’ll Do Assess, Understand & Build Individualized Treatment Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), behavioral assessments, skills assessments, and other clinical evaluations. Identify behavioral strengths, needs, functions, treatment goals, and appropriate intervention strategies. Develop, implement, monitor, and update individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), behavior support plans, and skill-acquisition programs. Utilize evidence-based ABA principles and data-driven interventions within the scope of BCBA practice. Analyze behavioral data, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and modify interventions as patient needs evolve. Develop reinforcement systems, behavior-reduction strategies, environmental supports, and individualized approaches designed to improve meaningful outcomes. Help Patients Build Skills That Matter Support the development of communication, emotional regulation, social, adaptive, independent-living, and other functional skills. Promote generalization of skills across treatment settings, caregivers, schools, and community environments. Monitor progress toward behavioral goals, treatment participation, safety, and functional outcomes. Provide recommendations for behavioral supports, environmental modifications, engagement strategies, and treatment approaches. Incorporate trauma-informed principles and each patient's developmental, cultural, environmental, and relational needs into behavioral treatment. Guide & Develop the Team Provide supervision, training, and clinical direction to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), direct-care staff, and other employees implementing behavioral interventions. Coach team members in ABA principles, patient-specific interventions, reinforcement strategies, behavioral supports, and treatment-plan implementation. Help ensure behavioral interventions are delivered consistently, ethically, and according to professional and organizational standards. Provide clinical consultation to treatment teams regarding behavioral presentations, antecedent strategies, reinforcement, skill development, and behavior-support approaches. Support staff during challenging behavioral situations and help translate behavioral data into practical strategies the treatment team can use. Be Part of Truly Multidisciplinary Care Collaborate closely with psychiatry, nursing, psychology, therapists, education staff, direct-care teams, and other disciplines. Participate in treatment planning, case reviews, multidisciplinary meetings, and clinical consultation. Support crisis assessment, behavioral intervention, stabilization, and de-escalation efforts. Partner with families and guardians through behavioral education, caregiver training, recommendations, and support with skill generalization. Coordinate with schools, community providers, and other stakeholders when appropriate. Advocate for patient needs and help ensure access to appropriate services and resources. Help Us Build Exceptional Behavioral Programming Participate in program development, evidence-based practice implementation, quality improvement, and behavioral-health programming. Help develop strong systems for behavioral assessment, intervention, documentation, data collection, and treatment consistency. Maintain accurate and timely assessments, behavior plans, progress notes, supervision records, treatment summaries, and other required documentation. Ensure behavioral documentation meets professional, organizational, regulatory, and payer standards. Support identified quality measures, performance goals, and key performance indicators. Maintain required credentials, competencies, and professional training in good standing. What We’re Looking For Required Minimum of a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field. Active, unrestricted Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Active, unrestricted Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credential in the State of Michigan. Experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or other complex clinical presentations. Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing and overseeing Behavior Intervention Plans and skill-acquisition programs. Strong knowledge of ABA principles, behavioral assessment, reinforcement systems, behavior-reduction strategies, and evidence-based behavioral treatment. Strong clinical reasoning, behavioral-data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, clinical professionals, direct-care staff, and external partners. Ability to obtain and maintain required crisis prevention, de-escalation, and behavioral-management certification. Preferred Two (2) or more years of experience providing ABA services. Experience working in inpatient, residential, outpatient, day-treatment, school-based, or other intensive behavioral-health settings. Experience supervising and training RBTs, behavior technicians, direct-care staff, or multidisciplinary treatment-team members. Experience supporting patients with high-acuity behavioral needs or complex behavioral and psychiatric presentations. Experience integrating ABA services into multidisciplinary behavioral-health treatment. Why MBHC? Help build behavioral care that works in the real world. Midwest Behavioral Health Center is growing, and we're building programs designed for children and adolescents whose needs don't always fit neatly into one treatment model. That creates an exciting opportunity for a BCBA. You’ll have the ability to help shape how behavioral science is integrated into multidisciplinary treatment—not in isolation, but alongside psychiatry, nursing, therapy, education, direct care, families, and other professionals working toward the same goal. You’ll help create systems, develop staff, influence programming, and make behavioral interventions practical, individualized, and meaningful for the patients we serve. If you're looking for an opportunity to use your expertise beyond a traditional ABA setting and help build something thoughtful, collaborative, and patient-centered, we'd love to meet you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Midwest Behavioral Health Center
