Responsibilities

• Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions
• Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors to achieve diagnostic-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitors patient condition during procedures, communicates findings to supervising clinicians, and adheres to safety and infection control protocols
• Maintains equipment and document procedures, quality control checks, and image storage according to department policies

Requirements

• Active radiologic technologist credential with CT capabilities and eligibility for CA licensure as required by state regulations
• CT certification (ARRT) or equivalent credential preferred
• Basic life support (BLS) certification
• CT imaging experience; prior hospital-based imaging exposure is beneficial
• Ability to work in a fast-paced imaging environment with flexible, varied shifts and rotating schedules
• Must be able to collaborate with clinicians, radiologists, and support staff to deliver timely, accurate imaging services
