Physical Therapist Trainer

Saratoga Medical is seeking a Physical Therapist Trainer for the Scarsdale School District in New York. Package includes competitive rate, paid time off and benefit options. This is a great full-time opportunity.

Education and Qualifications

• Must have an advanced degree from an accredited college or university
• Be a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer
• Must have fulfilled all requirements of the NATA Board of Certification exam and state licensure or regulation as determined by New York State
• Be a licensed Physical Therapist
• Must have fulfilled all requirements of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) and state licensure or regulation as determined by New York State.

Duties

• Demonstrate an ability to perform functions regarding athletic injuries: prevention, assessment, treatment, as set forth by the NATA National Athletic Trainer Association) Board of Certification
• Advise students/athletes and coaches on the proper use of braces, taping, and other devices used to prevent injuries
• Determine an individual's readiness to participate in athletics
• Report directly to Athletic Director
• Provide Athletic Trainer coverage for all home athletic contests, away football games, ice hockey contests, championship volleyball, wrestling and cheerleading tournaments hosted by Scarsdale
