Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Nurse located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. This position involves providing patient care on a general Medical Surgical Floor, supporting various diagnostic and treatment procedures. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid NC or Compact (multi-state) nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, 0 years of minimum experience specified
• Additional Information:
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Knowledge of assisting providers with bedside procedures, IV insertion, and travel experience.
  • Familiarity with electronic charting using EPIC.
  • Experience with a variety of diagnoses including stroke, GI bleed, renal failure, sepsis, and postoperative care, among others.
  • Proficiency with equipment such as IV pumps, feeding pumps, SCD machines, and bedside monitors.
  • Ability to work within a teamCare delivery system involving Charge Nurse, Primary Nurse, and Nursing Assistants.
