With two new, state-of-the-art hospitals - A UT specialty hospital and a cancer center being built by MD Anderson - plus the academic and research expertise of UT, The University of Texas Medical Center will provide the integrated, world-class care that is a hallmark of academic medicine.The Dell Medical School is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to excellence within the learning health system.About The Pediatric Cardiologist - Outpatient PositionThe Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Childrens Medical Center (DCMC) is seeking a part-time pediatric cardiologist (0.5 FTE) to serve exclusively as an outpatient clinician to support our rapidly growing team within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD). The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside our team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. Although patient care is our primary focus, education and research are also encouraged and supported with access to dedicated research professionals including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin, providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texas and beyond.The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care, administration, program development, safety, and quality. This position will work with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the TCPCHD to execute on yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentals of extraordinary care: safety, quality, patient experiences, access, and stewardship. Routine patient care will include: Ambulatory pediatric cardiology, outpatient clinic operations, supervision of advanced practice providers, outreach efforts to promote the program, and participation in regularly scheduled patient care conferences.Live in Austin a Vibrant, Lively, University CityKnown for its excellent schools, lively music scene, superb cuisine, and international festivals such as South by Southwest.
