Senior Java DeveloperSoftware Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Java Developer for a contract assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA. Responsibilities include:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business requirementsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineersEnsure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practicesParticipate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical strategySupport production systems and troubleshoot complex technical issuesDefine technical solutions or operational processes to improve efficiencyStrong experience with Java and AngularDemonstrates the firm's valuesCollaborates, both in-person and virtuallyRequired Skills:10+ years of design develop, and maintenanceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least 8 years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experienceSystem design experienceStrong experience in developing Frontend applicationStrong experience with cloud technologiesExperience in performance tuning and optimizationExperience in DevOps and CI/CD technologiesExperience in test automation and unit testingExperience in software securityCore Technical Skills:AWSCore services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, CloudFrontCloudWatch and Splunk for monitoring and troubleshootingIAM, security services, and VPC networkingProgramming & DevelopmentJava, Spring Boot, JPAFrontend applications: AngularRESTful API design and microservices architectureCI/CD pipelines (GitLab exposure preferred)DatabasesSQL (PostgreSQL, Aurora) SGA Inc.
