Full Stack Developer, Healthcare Claims Systems

Salary: $82,100 - 125,999 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science; a masters degree is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Developer or in a similar role.
• 7–10 years reviewing and interpreting third-party adjudication of hospital institutional and professional HIPAA 837 claims for denial resolution or additional collections.
• Must live in the Boston area and be able to attend meetings at our Boston office.
• 7+ years of C# development with .NET Core.
• 5+ years of UX/UI development using Telerik UI for Blazor, building Web APIs, and developing Telerik Reporting solutions.
• Understand how to keep workflow Web APIs and the UI separated from the database through a Data Access Layer Web API.
• Ability to design system architectures for data analysis and reporting.
• 5+ years of T-SQL experience with Microsoft SQL Server using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Ability to perform analytics directly against core databases without an analytic data layer; solid knowledge of data collection, analysis, and reporting techniques.
• Knowledge of the 837 envelope, loop, and segment format for distinguishing adjudication details from billing details.
• Understand hospital revenue cycles and billing release schedules; working knowledge of Claim Adjustment Reason Codes (CARCs) and corresponding Remittance Advice Remark Codes (RARCs).
• Experience calculating expected reimbursement from commercial, private, and government payers, and determining payer sequence to support timely collections.
• Experience completing government payer Credit Balance reporting for audit.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Familiarity with inpatient payment methods, including Cost-to-Charge and Grouper pricing for MS-DRGs; professional services fee-for-service pricing; and outpatient institutional visit rate calculations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare industry standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint; experience with JIRA and GitHub repositories.
• Provider-side claims processing experience is preferred.

• Build and maintain full stack claims workflow applications using C#/.NET Core, Blazor with Telerik UI controls, and Web APIs.
• Design and maintain a layered architecture that routes database access for workflow APIs and the UI exclusively through a Data Access Layer Web API.
• Develop reports using Telerik Reporting.
• Gather specifications from stakeholders and produce focused adjudication reports for claims-based data requests.
• Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
• Use SQL and other analysis tools to extract and manipulate data; perform data mining and data management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and develop solutions.
• Design and build systems for collecting, storing, and reporting data.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
• Work through ad hoc requests promptly and accurately, account for existing business-process and timeline constraints, and communicate findings clearly to management.
