- Time management skills to efficiently manage a patient workload.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics).
- Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Arizona .
- National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]).
- While specific requirements may vary, most locum NP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty.
- Locum tenens NP positions are temporary assignments, often lasting weeks or months, to fill staffing gaps in healthcare facilities.
