Accounting Specialist (Direct Hire)

Position Summary

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing cash flow, developing financial processes, and providing strategic financial insight to support company growth. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, prioritize competing demands, and proactively identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including:
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash Management
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to support business growth.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and banking partners.
• Identify operational efficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to company leadership.
• Support strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with special projects, acquisitions, and company growth initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience.
• Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and take initiative without direct supervision.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.

Preferred:

• QuickBooks Online Certification.
• Experience within property management, real estate, construction, or related industries.
• Experience managing company growth and process improvements.
