Job Type: Full-Time (on-site)
Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 hours/week)
Shift Options: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (or) 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Position Overview:
The Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist is responsible for performing routine and complex neurodiagnostic procedures to support the diagnosis of neurological disorders. This role includes working with modalities such as Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), and Continuous Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM).
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in the standard 10-20 system of electrode placement
- Prepare patients by explaining procedures, attaching electrodes, and calibrating equipment
- Perform studies according to established protocols with minimal artifact
- Apply appropriate montages based on patient condition and physician directives
- Monitor, record, and analyze neurodiagnostic data with waveform recognition
Technical & Equipment Management
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed
- Understand factors affecting test accuracy, including pharmacological and environmental influences
- Ensure proper functioning and calibration of diagnostic equipment
Patient Care & Communication
- Communicate effectively with patients across all age groups
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
Primary Accountabilities
- Enter charges and route documentation to interpreting physicians with relevant clinical information
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of exam rooms between patients
- Restock supplies in exam and patient care areas
- Perform clerical duties including answering phones, scheduling support, and assisting patients
- Archive studies and maintain organized records
- Support overall department organization and professional appearance
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic program or R.EEGT equivalent
- Current BLS (CPR) certification
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with coordination and visual accuracy
- Experience with Ambulatory EEG, Long-Term Video Monitoring, or Evoked Potentials is preferred not mandatory
