3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Description Overview The Maintenance Mechanic at Perrigo NY is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting the mechanical aspects of manufacturing and packaging equipment and facilities in accordance with standard operating procedures. The role requires completing work orders, performing repair, improvement, set‑up, and troubleshooting tasks, conducting root‑cause analysis, and reporting to supervisory staff on all packaging and compounding equipment. Scope of the Role

• Complete daily Maintenance Tracker and inform Master Mechanic or supervisor of walk‑throughs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all packaging, compounding, and warehouse equipment.
• Carry out repairs as required (MTCE) and train production personnel on proper equipment use.
• Set up equipment, fine‑tune, and troubleshoot using root‑cause analysis methods.

Experience Required Five (5) years of hands‑on mechanical experience with packaging equipment in pharmaceutical, food, packaging, or a similar manufacturing environment; successful completion of an accredited certification in mechanical engineering, mechanical design, or troubleshooting. OR Three (3) years as a Perrigo Set‑Up Tech plus at least two years of completed education and active enrollment in a Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Electromechanical Engineering program at an accredited university/college.
