Key Responsibilities

• Educate patients and their families regarding skin care regimens, potential side effects, and expected outcomes of treatments, aiming to empower them in their health journey.
• Documentation of care in accordance with facility standards, using electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate patient tracking and compliance.
• Participate in staff meetings and maintain active engagement in ongoing educational opportunities to continually enhance professional capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health regulations and safety protocols, including proper usage of personal protective equipment when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary clientele will be residents of the assisted living facility, many of whom may have unique dermatological needs due to age-related conditions and comorbidities. This role demands acute attention to factors such as age, skin types, and existing medical conditions, informing tailored patient education and treatment approaches.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing (required) with a specialization in dermatology preferred.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP-C) with a strong understanding of dermatological conditions and treatments.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any department-specific certifications that may be required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting with experience in supervising nursing staff and making independent clinical decisions.
• Prior experience in dermatology or geriatrics, particularly in assisted living or long-term care environments, is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits
