Witham Family Hotels is seeking an Assistant Facilities Director to work alongside our Facilities Director in overseeing maintenance operations across our portfolio of hotels, employee housing, and company facilities.In this leadership role, you'll help manage maintenance teams, coordinate contractors and renovation projects, oversee preventative maintenance programs, and ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and guest-ready. You'll work closely with our Facilities Director and maintenance team, which includes a Housing Maintenance crew, Master Electrician, HVAC Technician, Maintenance Managers, and Maintenance Associates. Responsibilities:Assist the Facilities Director in overseeing maintenance operations across all hotel properties, employee housing units, and company facilitiesSchedule, coordinate, and oversee external contractors including electricians, plumbers, roofers, painters, landscapers, excavators, HVAC contractors, and other tradesMonitor project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and contractor performance to ensure successful project completionSupport the planning and execution of offseason renovation and capital improvement projects ranging from $2 million to $5 million annuallyCommunicate project updates, schedules, challenges, and progress with internal stakeholders, department leaders, vendors, and contractorsSupport and supervise maintenance teams while providing training, guidance, resources, and performance feedbackCoordinate daily activities for the Housing Maintenance team, Master Electrician, HVAC Technician, Heating Technician, Plumbing Technician, Maintenance Managers, and Maintenance AssociatesSchedule, assign, and oversee preventative maintenance programs across all propertiesConduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance, safety, operational, and compliance concernsOversee fleet vehicle maintenance and assist with shipping and receiving activitiesIdentify, troubleshoot, and coordinate repairs for building systems, infrastructure, and guest-facing facilitiesRespond to maintenance emergencies and provide after-hours support on a rotating basis with the Facilities DirectorEnsure all facilities comply with OSHA, ADA, MUBEC, and applicable local, state, and federal regulationsAssist with budgeting, capital planning, long-range facilities planning, and strategic initiativesHelp maintain high standards for landscaping, building appearance, safety, functionality, and guest satisfactionPerform other duties as assigned by the Facilities DirectorSkills & Requirements:Thorough knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire alarm, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance practicesStrong understanding of preventative maintenance programs and facility operationsExperience managing contractors, vendors, project timelines, and budgetsAbility to lead teams while fostering a positive and collaborative work environmentStrong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skillsAbility to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution Responsibilities:Works directly alongside and under the direction of the Facilities DirectorAssists in supervising maintenance operations across multiple properties and housing locationsProvides leadership, guidance, and support to maintenance personnel and contracted vendorsHelps oversee maintenance teams that may include Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Associates, Housing Maintenance staff, and skilled trade professionalsEducation & Experience:High School diploma or equivalent requiredDegree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Trades, Construction Management, or related field preferredPrior hotel, hospitality, property management, or maintenance department experience requiredMinimum five years of supervisory experience in building maintenance, construction, facilities management, or a related skilled trade requiredMinimum three years of project management, operational planning, or strategic planning experience requiredWorking Conditions & Physical
