Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active license as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Credentials in BLS and ACLS (or willingness to obtain)
• Proven experience delivering respiratory care in a hospital or acute care environment
• Proficiency in the use of ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and respiratory monitoring equipment
• Confidence in performing arterial blood gas sampling and interpreting results
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly in critical situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care interventions for patients with chronic and acute diagnosis
• Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
• Manage, troubleshoot, and monitor mechanical ventilators
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analyses
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and optimize patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and ongoing self-care practices
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in patient records according to hospital standards
