** Project Engineer **

** Position Summary **

The Project Engineer supports the successful planning, coordination, and execution of custom residential and commercial swimming pool projects. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the company’s quality standards.

** Primary Responsibilities **

** Project Coordination **

• Assist with planning and scheduling all phases of construction.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and deliveries.
• Track project milestones and maintain schedules.
• Identify potential delays and proactively develop solutions.

** Field Support **

• Visit active job sites regularly.
• Verify work is installed according to plans and specifications.
• Perform quality control inspections.
• Document project progress with reports and photographs.
• Assist with punch lists and project closeout.

** Procurement **

• Prepare and issue purchase orders.
• Order materials and equipment.
• Track lead times and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate material staging with field crews.

** Project Documentation **

• Maintain project files.
• Process RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Update as-built drawings.
• Track permits and inspections.
• Maintain daily logs and project reports.

** Cost Control **

• Assist with budgeting and job cost tracking.
• Compare estimated versus actual costs.
• Review vendor invoices.
• Help identify cost-saving opportunities.

** Client Communication **

• Provide project updates.
• Coordinate selections and scheduling with homeowners.
• Resolve minor issues before they become major problems.
• Maintain a professional customer experience throughout construction.

** Safety **

• Promote safe work practices.
• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections.
• Ensure OSHA compliance.
• Report and document safety concerns.

** Qualifications **

• 2+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

** Preferred Experience **

• Swimming pool construction
• Concrete construction
• Utilities and underground plumbing
• Residential or commercial site development
• Scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Buildertrend, Procore, etc.)

** Physical Requirements **

• Ability to walk active construction sites.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and navigate uneven terrain.
