Baker

noa, a café  is looking for a professional, detail driven bake r with experience in production, cardamom and cinnamon buns, laminated doughs and other bakery items to join our team!

This job requires you to work independently but also alongside our bakery team to efficiently scale, mix, portion, shape, proof, and bake-off multiple types of breads and pastries. You will also be expected to produce garnish, fillings, and sauces for a rotating seasonal pastry menu.

Qualifications:
- Work experience in pastry, proofing and dough mixing 
- Work experience with laminated doughs
- Ability to work efficiently and multi task in a fast-paced environment

 

Responsibilities
• Mixing, laminating, shaping, proofing, and baking croissants
• Assisting Head Baker with daily viennoiserie production — managing proofing times to accommodate baking schedule, egg washing, filling, baking, and applying finish garnishes on products
• Baking cinnamon rolls, muffins, biscuits, loaves and cookies
• Making pastry cream and frosting
• Assisting and learning from Head Baker with sourdough bread — mixing, shaping, and baking

Requirements
• PUNCTUALITY AND RELIABILITY ARE ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED. We maintain a strict attendance policy — this is not negotiable.
• Must be available Friday – Saturday overnight. No exceptions.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for 8+ hours
• Comfortable working with large commercial ovens and mixers
• Organized, professional, and able to follow detailed recipes and the Head Baker's direction
• Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing critical baking times independently
• Positive, professional attitude
• Spanish and/or English
• Must provide documentation to legally work in the United States

Compensation

Pay is not negotiated in advance — it is determined by the skill demonstrated during a paid stage. Strong bakers are compensated accordingly.
