About the Team Capital One’s Customer Restrictions Product team is building a data destination of platforms, products, and processes that is well-managed and easy to govern, and where data is easy to find, understand, and use to enable real-time intelligent experiences. The Senior Manager, Product Manager for the Customer Restrictions Product team plays a critical people leadership role in achieving our goals. This individual will lead and mentor a team of product managers in developing our universe of data products, including helping customers in moments that matter. Our data ecosystem plays a critical role in improving customer experience by enabling real-time, intelligent updates to unlock capabilities that will protect our customers from fraudulent activity and create quicker access to their funds by accelerating the response time.This role is crucial for transforming the data experience for all of our customer personas across Small Business Bank and will play a leading role in shaping local and partner roadmaps as we define shared capabilities that can be scaled across our line of business, and Enterprise. In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management: Human Centered - Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions. Technology Driven - Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value, specifically within a modern data ecosystem (e.g., cloud-based data platforms, APIs, real-time data flows). Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks, including those related to data quality, data governance, and data pipeline efficiency. Transformational Leadership - Leads and develops cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment, championing data-driven decision making and fostering a culture of data literacy. This includes direct management and mentorship of product managers. Basic Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management At least 2 years of experience leading and managing a team of product managers Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration Preferred Qualifications: Experience translating business and/or data strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products. Deep understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data lifecycle management. Experience with large-scale data platforms, data warehousing, data lakes, or real-time data streaming technologies. Proven ability to define and drive multi-year product roadmaps. Experience collaborating with product managers, data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers as both data producers, and consumers. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management Philadelphia, PA: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management Wilmington, DE: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
