Summary

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiology / Mammography Technologist to join its outpatient preventive medicine team in Dallas, TX.

The technologist will perform mammography, X-ray, DEXA bone density, and DEXA body composition examinations, while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and a high-quality experience. This position is ideal for an experienced imaging professional who is ARRT registered and Mammography certified and enjoys working in a professional, patient-centered environment.

New graduates may be considered if they possess the required Mammography certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms, X-rays, DEXA bone density, and DEXA body composition scans.
• Prepare patients and examination rooms for procedures.
• Review patient history and relevant clinical information.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout examinations.
• Conduct monthly X-ray quality-control procedures.
• Monitor mammography patients requiring follow-up imaging or procedures, including biopsies, MRI, ultrasound, and other examinations.
• Contact outside medical facilities to obtain prior reports, images, and studies needed for comparison or completion of current examinations.
• Address equipment issues through appropriate service personnel and notify the Imaging Director.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum 6 months of related experience and/or training.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography - RT(R)(M).
• Current Texas state license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of mammography, radiography, and DEXA procedures.

New Graduates
