Warehouse Order Picker/SelectorOur client, a leading food distribution company located in Warrendale, PA, is seeking experienced Warehouse Order Pickers/Selectors for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This role operates in a traditional warehouse environment without conveyor belts, requiring strong physical stamina and picking accuracy. Contract Duration: Temp-to-perm Schedule: Sunday through Friday (one weekday off, in addition to Saturday), shift begins at 5:30 PM, approximately 8-10 hours depending on workload completion Location: Warrendale, PA (on-site) Travel: None required Positions Available: 2 Interview Format: In-person interview required Key Responsibilities - Accurately pick and select customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse setting - Operate an electric pallet jack to transport goods - Maintain a consistent picking rate of 100-140 items per hour - Navigate the facility efficiently, demonstrating strong spatial awareness - Lift and move product weighing up to 50 lbs individually - Work in cold and wet warehouse conditions as needed - Stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10-12 hours per day Required Qualifications - Proven experience in a traditional warehouse environment (no conveyor systems) - Demonstrated order picking/selecting experience - Experience operating an electric pallet jack - Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours per shift - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted - Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail - Ability to work in cold/wet conditions - Must provide own personal protective equipment (PPE) suitable for cold environments Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in food distribution or grocery warehousing - History of meeting or exceeding productivity metrics in a picking role - Flexibility with shift end times based on workload About the Role This position offers a pathway from temporary to permanent employment for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and reliability.
