Member Specialist

Overview Position Summary – Provides member service; maintains the checkout area; resolves member issues and concerns; promotes Sam's Club products and services; provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology; processes member purchases; assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types; follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps. What you’ll do Provide member service and resolve member issues and concerns. Promote Sam's Club products and services and guide members on self-service technology. Process member purchases; assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges per company policies for various membership and payment types. Follow safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps. Follow proper procedures for handling merchandise; correct and report unsafe situations to facility management. Maintain entrance and exit areas; acknowledge members; verify membership cards; identify member needs; assist with purchasing decisions; locate merchandise; arrange and organize merchandise; assist with transporting items; maintain a safe shopping environment; review receipts and safeguard assets and property as directed by policy. Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation; execute emergency response procedures; ensure compliance with security and safety practices. Assist with training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures; teach new technology and tool functionality; deliver rollout training; provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities. Maintain responsibility area in accordance with policies by properly handling returns; identify shrink and damages. Comply with company policies, procedures and ethics; apply Open Door Policy in business processes and practices. Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; identify improvement opportunities; adapt to change and feedback.
