Description: Qualified candidate will function under the direct supervision of an RN. Candidate will assist in nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient. Responsibilities include performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the department. Candidate will perform technical duties related to scrub personnel. Candidate must react precisely and efficiently to all situations. Candidate will assist with departmental work as assigned. Surgical techs play a vital role in creating and maintaining a sterile surgical room. They ensure that surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely. They assist surgeons during surgical procedures. Candidate must arrive within 30 minutes of being called in. Weekend, call, and holiday shifts are required.
