Chief Engineer – Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany by Marriott

Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany by Marriott is seeking an experienced and motivated Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance and engineering operations of the hotel. The ideal candidate will ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards while providing a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and team members.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all hotel maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance programs
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety regulations, and local codes
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
• Supervise and train maintenance team members
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate outside contractors when needed
• Monitor maintenance budgets, supplies, and equipment inventory
• Conduct regular property inspections and identify areas for improvement
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records

Qualifications:

• Previous hotel engineering or maintenance management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
• Leadership and team management skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and emergency calls if needed
• Strong organizational and communication skills
