Registered Nurse - Acute Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hours, with start times varying between 09:00 to 11:00, Monday through Friday. This role includes an average of 6 on-call shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care in an acute care setting. The position requires the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to, arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and monitoring central venous pressure. You'll work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide care for patients requiring intensive monitoring and interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update care plans.
• Manage and interpret data from specialized monitoring equipment.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of charge nurse experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS certifications required.
• Active and valid state RN license in compact format.
